CONVENIENCE DRIVES ONLINE VEHICLE REPAIR AT MID-STATE TRANSMISSION

Everything is online these days, including vehicle repair! Mid-State Transmission Service in Normal has launched E-Repair, an online car quote and repair service, to help streamline the car repair process and make receiving a quote more accessible. The service offers customers the ability to submit information about their vehicle problems via an online form directly to a Mid-State repair technician who calls them with a quick, same-day response with a quote.

“With Mid-State’s E-Repair, consumers no longer have to drive from shop to shop getting estimates for repairs,” said Jerry Adams, owner of Mid-State Transmission. “E-Repair lets them submit information to us, anytime from anywhere. It is very convenient!”

The online form asks consumers “leading questions” about their vehicle problems to help Mid-State’s technicians make an accurate diagnosis. For example, if the consumer indicated the problem is a noise, they would then be asked to identify characteristics of the noise:

• Where does it come from? Under the hood? Under the car? Left side or right? The rear? Etc.

• When does it happen? When the car is first turned on, is idling, stopping, etc?

By answering the chain of questions and offering information about the make, model, and year of the vehicle, Mid-State’s technicians are able to make a general diagnosis of the problem and a basic quote is given the same day, during normal business hours.
           
“Our goal is make vehicle repair more convenient for our customers,” said Adams. “E-Repair gives them the luxury of submitting their information when it is most convenient for them and receiving a reliable quote back in a timely fashion.
