Meet Owner Jerry Adams

Ever met one of those people who knows everybody? You know, the guy you go to lunch with that always has three people who shake his hand and say cordially, “Hey there, how are ya?” That’s Jerry Adams.  A nice, talented guy who owns a business that helps a lot of people in this community…

 

Growing up on a farm near Strawn, Illinois, Jerry was not sure what his future would hold, but he was told often from family that he, “had the will and the work ethic to make anything happen.”  And that he did…

 

With a skilled hand and a mind for service, Jerry became a certified auto technician with an entrepreneurial spirit.  He knew business ownership could be tough, but felt with the right formula of skilled professionals and personal service, he could make a good living and a huge difference. His journey started in 1981 when he opened Mid-State Transmission.

 

Today, Jerry’s team of long-term professionals are known as the go-to-guys when

you want your repairs done right-- the first time. Jerry has become an extremely valuable community resource offering clear and helpful information…in person, on television, on radio, and online. He celebrates, commiserates, and communicates with us. And, no matter what, he gets us back on the road -- right away.  

 

Jerry will tell you his favorite part of his work is the great people he has the pleasure to meet and help.  It’s this role that keeps a smile on Jerry’s face and a tremendous amount of Christmas cards on his mantle. Information and service are gifts that keep on giving….
